With the buffering of YouTube now NIL, the favorite past time for most of us is to couch surfing the Internet from the comfort of our laptops and mobiles. I think we all can comfortably raise our hands when I say most of us do watch YouTube videos to past our time. May the the content of the videos might be different but in general, what we do to past our time is the usage of either the social media or the YouTube.

I would like to call myself an avid motorcycle enthusiast and try to keep up the current trend in the two-wheeler market. I have been the Webmaster of the two-wheeler website for past 10 years and in-fact I have an obligation to keep track of the motorcycle world. Had to mention - Big fan of Vale 46. So obviously my YouTube video playlist has lots and lots of motorcycle video contents. From like when my Indian friends used to post vlogs on Nepal way past the YouTube was bandwidth friendly to now each week us getting new vlogs from our Indian friends on motorcycles, I love watching them and keeping track on how they relate motorcycles in Nepal. Common theme is "We love motorcycles and We love to Travel".

Burger Shack...A paradise for Burger Lovers

Wandering around New Road, my brother and I were looking for a good place to have 'khaja'. I had in particular, Trishara in mind but then suddenly out of nowhere I said 'Burger Shack'. I have heard of this place and in particular praises only. So, after searching the Internet, the address mentioned was Jawalakhel and contact number. Armed with that particular information, off we went in search of the place. We started looking up the place from Pulchock itself. To my surprise, the place as mentioned was in the chock itself besides NTC on the way to Kumaripati.

Parking can be done in the sideways and shouldn't be a big problem as there were ample space.

The place was little smaller than what I thought it would be and seemed to be a rather like an American diner. I asked for the rest room and was promptly shown the way. The place was clean and the ambiance was rather pleasant. There were very few people, may be due to the fact that we were way past the "lunch hour".

Going through the menu, we ordered BBQ Sauce Burger and Double Chicken. When asked for the refreshment, I think he was the owner, he recommended the Lemon Mint Refresher. It was absolutely refreshing and we loved it. The refreshment was provided very fast. I love the fast services. The burgers followed. We didn't know what to expect. But the very first bite, and both of us were smiling. We knew that it was delicious and we both loved it. So much so that I even forgot to take pictures of those delicious burgers. The burger was filling in portion but we ordered our self another round for the road.

We are definitely going there in the future and hopefully, try all the varieties.

The place is clean and hygienic. I also noticed the notice board where they claim that all the vegetables are cleaned with Iodized water. NO SMOKING always makes me happy. :)

The infant kid survived 22 hours under the rubble.

I am exhausted having not slept for more than 5 days. The little rest of 1-3 hours per day is slowly deteriorating my body.

But overall, we are all okay here. I have been able to contact most of my family and friends. A few of them are still not in contact but I hope they are all okay.

The condition is changing back to normal. Kathmandu is emptying steadily. Roads are very empty. Few people who are staying back are taking all the precautions among the fear of epidemic.

I will try to keep updating this blog as soon as things return back to normalcy. #PrayForNepal #SarojShrestha #Ciao

Foodie Blog -- RoadHouse Cafe, Bhatbhateni

All the opinions are entirely mine and hopefully, few others who are reading this can post their view as well in here for the review.

After a gap of about 2 months, we had a small lunch session yesterday at the RoadHouse Cafe in Bhatbhateni. The occasion was to mark Bunny's Birthday bash. Me and a couple of family went for the lunch. Firstly, I am a big fan of RoadHouse Cafe.  The Crispy Potato Skin always allured me no matter whether I am hungry or not. But same was not the case yesterday.

Due to Rastriya Prajatantra Party(RPP)'s closed session, reaching there was hectic with all the traffic chaos. I don't know why the Danthes' & Traffic Dai's turn their eyes away as soon as there is something with the political figures. The guard there had to ask where we were going before he even opened up the gate for motorcycle parking. Guess he is quite fed up with all the parking done by the Karyekartas of RPP.

The feel-good ambiance of the RoadHouse Cafe certainly calm me down. After a couple of minutes, the waiter came up with the regular menu. One thing I would like to comment at this point is: even after coming to sit at the table, I can't believe the waiter didn't serve us even a glass of water. I think this is too commercialization of the restaurant. After going through the menu, though I know by heart what to order and what not to from there, we ordered 1 Crispy Skin potato, 1 Ham and Pineapple Pizza, 1 Cesar wrap without Bacon, 2 cokes and 1 Vanilla Shake.

The cutlery arrived nice and clean. 

Normally to date, I have to wait for more than 15 minutes for our orders to arrive and normally they arrive as entree, main and desert. But to our dismay, everything arrived at once. So when we were having our Potato Skin, the pizza has gone cold. Even the Crispy Potato Skin was not so crispy. It was kindda soggy which made it gross. The Ham and Pineapple had not much pineapple. So after a couple of slices, I dropped it. The major disappointment was the Cesar wrap. It was sorta like Pig food. Some spinach, cold chicken salad dressing wrapped in the 'maida ko roti'. Yuckk...even though the portion was not large, three of us couldn't finish it.

Dismayed, we instead order up the RoadHouse Chicken wings. I knew about them as I had already ordered it before today. The numbers of it has increased which is a pleasure. I had the disappointment of ordering it and coming only 5 wings on my plate once. 

After that, we order Sizzling Brownies which are the best I have ever tasted in the whole of Kathmandu valley till date. But the disappointment continued with the Brownie being very pasty. We couldn't even finish it. The supposedly Hot Chocolate seems to be directly made from the canned powder and felt like eating Lacto chocolate.

It has been an under experience for all of us. With such hype, I seriously think they should have maintained their wholesome experience. I will be most certainly back but now not with it being one of my favorite restaurant.

Nepal hit by deadliest fuel crisis

What is happening to this country ??? Nothing seems to be in order. I was just passing through some blogs and man oh man...how everybody is suffering from the fuel crisis ?

The most severly suffered are none other than the general public who have to use the Public Transportation for their daily use. It's just a few days back time, when my brother asked a Taxi Driver to go to Mandikhatar from Dhumbarahi, Pipalbot; he so surely asked for NRs. 200. This is such a shocking price as its' mere 1km distance.

Then again, it's the same answer everybody is giving. "दाई पेट्रोल नै छैन । पैसा बढी दिने भए मात्र जाने । खाली फर्कनु पर्छ । " Even though there are people who just hope that there is one empty cab waiting.

Same thing is happening on Microbus as well. We are students and when these Transport entrepeauners were getting 40% on their income tax for giving 33% discount on travel fare; why are they hesitating to do so in this crisis ???? Aren't they taking undue advantage of the poor condition of the country ??? But again, when I reached Naxal, I saw this line of vehicles queing up for their turn to get Petrol and Diesel. I got nothing to say then when the 'Khalasai Bhai' asked me "Dai, yetro line ma tapai basera petrol lina saknu hunchha?"

I just gave an empty look to the 'Khalasi Bhai'.
